I was going to respond to someone saying my remark about blink 182 only having 2 songs on their greatest hits album was "unfair". It went like this:
I'm sorry my response was "unfair" to Blink 182 and their numerous fans. As punishment, I will learn to play Blink 182's entire catalogue on my guitar.

I have, at times, said profoundly stupid things. I have, at times, lost my temper and it showed. I have, at times, said things that later I'm embarrassed about.
But I don't edit or delete my posts! I said it, and that's that.
I HATE HATE HATE when I'm reading a thread and suddenly it doesn't make sense because someone deleted their post, and all I get is the reactions to said post. It's better when they edit the post so I know something is missing, but that does annoy me, too.
So yeah, I agree that deleting threads and deleting individual posts is annoying! Drives me crazy, too. Deleting posts is useful for the occassional double post. That's pretty much it.
(One time that I remember I edited a post on the other side. I took out the text of a paper I had written, with a note that if someone was interested, they could email me. But I waited until it was on page two.)

ETA: By edit I meant removing large chunks and leaving [post deleted] or something like that. I do regular editing all the time. Like now...
