I the song liftime by Better Than Ezra, it says "And that REM song was playing in my mind. And three and a half minutes, Felt like a lifetime". I've heard the song plenty of times, but when I heard it today I began to wonder, just which REM song do they mean? I couldn't figure it out, on my own. So I was hoping there might be a few fans of REM, or Better Than Ezra, or both, here at hatrack, who might be able to figure out which song they might mean.
(P.S. I am never sure how much of a song is too much, if I quoted too much, I will gladly change it.)

I vote for "You are the Everything" off Green. Even though it's 15 seconds too long. We're talking artistic license here.

A lot of their songs are really close, many within 10 or 15 seconds. But the only one I have that is exactly 3:30 is "Perfect Circle" from Murmur.
I could be missing something, though. The only albums of theirs I have are Murmur, Document, Automatic for the People, Reckoning and Out of Time. So if it's off a different album, you're out of luck from me.
