You can use water or milk instead of chicken broth. [Smile] Or even juice! Be creative.

Uprooted, my dad has made that. You can do one of three things: cook it a bit longer and risk overcooking the chicken, use quick-cooking brown rice, or parboil the rice first. [Smile]

Never thought of the quick brown rice--thanks, kq!

I'll go look up parboil. I always get that mixed up w/ blanching.

Parboiling is where you partially cook it before you put it in a recipe. [Smile]
