Guys. What is the big attraction with the tiger? I can't see why this is an attractive choice. Mainly, the one's I've encountered are either in lockdown at the zoo, or hawking breakfast cereal or gasoline.

So far we have:

Castle - 28
Tree House - 14
Houseboat - 10
Space Station - 14

What is your favorite sport?
Football - 15
Basketball - 11
Soccer - 17
Baseball - 14
Hockey - 9

Which animal would you most like to be?
Tiger - 23
Bird - 21
Fish - 3
Monkey - 19

And in an effort to be complete:
* Write in votes for animal: Moose, wolf and liger
* Football was requested as Australian rules
* Write in vote for monkey as a sport. The respodent didn't specify whether US or European rules were to apply.

Castle, Soccer, Tiger.

So, I'd be a tiger who loves to play soccer and lives in a castle. Sounds like my kind of life [Big Grin]

I'm more interested in lifestyle. The monkeys seem to have a pretty good time. Plus, they get all that sign language training, so they can just ask for bananas and their trainers hand the goods over.

You don't see any sign language tigers asking for a haunch of antelope and getting that delivered, now do you?

No, Tigers don't ask for their food, they just take it.

I'd like to see a showdown between a sign language monkey and a tiger, we'll see who wins [Big Grin]

Okay, so a monkey might make a better pet, but ever since I saw the movie Beast Master as a child I've wanted my own tiger. They are very nifty, the combination of strength and agility. They are (were) the top of their food chain, the mighty hunter, so lithe and cunning. Also, they are bloody cute as kittens.

What with the house boat and tree house? I mean come on how can you not choose a castle or a space station? I on the space station you could have battle room for pete's sake.

Castles are huge, drafty things with tall staircases. Cold and made of stone. Ugh.

Trees are a lot of fun. And you need to hire a staff of servants if you live in a castle, and they're the very devil to keep warm in winter.

I've had a tiger handpuppet for years. I used to chase my son around with it when he was little and when I caught him, I'd kiss him all over with the tiger. It was our game. For a while, I used the online nick Kissing_Tiger.

It might not be such a good idea to have a pet who is higher up on the food chain than you are.

First of all, I don't care that much if it is hard to keep the servants warm in the winter. Let them wear sweaters!

If you live in a castle, it is understood that a large retinue of servants is included in the deal. They will light fires in the fireplaces for you, and make sure that the sumptuous draperies are blocking any drafts.

The tall staircases are only a problem for the servants -- they are the ones living at the top of them. Although, you could incorporate the castle stairs into your exercise regimen.

And there is NO WAY that a castle is draftier, harder to keep warm in the winter, or has steeper stairways than a tree house. But tree houses don't have a retinue of retainers included. Just squirrels.

Have you never seen the movie Swiss Family Robinson? [Smile]

I've always had this infatuation with treehouses - the big multi-level kind, like what this company does. Or if I wanted to go all out, like the treehouse at Alnwick Garden in England. *drools*

(But castles are a very close second, some days a first.)

Oh, and tigers are sexy! [Big Grin]

1. Treehouses are in warm, tropical regions.

2. Tree houses have Swiss Family Robinson-style makeshift elevators.

3. No moat will ever keep the Black Knight at bay. However, he does not leave his horse, and it cannot climb trees.

*calls on squirrel valet to escort Tante out the door with a hearty kick*
