Duped already! I came here because someone said it was a good source to discuss serious writing issues. I only saw one place to register and thought signing up there got one into all the forums. So I ended up registering to the 1830s forum, and having to register all over again to get into this one! I don't even know what the 1830s forum is about, but if I don't want to be a member of it, how do I "un-register"? Thanks.

You're still in the wrong place. There's actually a separate writing forum. That said, welcome.

This is, as Tom said, not the writing forum, though we do often discuss literature and the writing of OTHER people... but you should check out the other forum.
However, you should stick around here, too, because it's a nice place, with great people! (Slightly insane, but hey, who isn't?)

You can stay here and talk about various things that come to mind, you can post in-character to practice writing and make friends at the 1830s Forum, and/or you can attend the Writer's Workshop Forum right here, so long as you are over 18.
(The age limit has to do with some issues that came up in the past here. You don't have to be of any certain age to post in the Discussion Forums such as the one you are at now, or at the 1830s Forum.)
There is no need to unregister if you do not wish to participate in any given forum. There is no penalty for refrainng to post anywhere. However, if the loose ends bug you and you really want to do it anyway, I'd try going right here to the OSC Help Desk and sending a message.

Scott, can I unregister from your list of people who will be against the wall when the revolution comes?

Seriously, there is no reason you should delete yourself from 1830s, just don't worry about it at all.

Because it would be on my conscience instead?!?

Thanks for the answers. Technically, since I sometimes portray 1840s in costume, I would have been around in the 1830s, just don't think about it much. Maybe it will end up being that I was "meant" to be there.
