Does anyone know good, FREE Pascal compilers, preferably ones that work well with Windows (XP SP2?), with nice interfaces, that show language words (aka "begin", "while", et cetera), and that actually work after you install them.

Because borland's TP7 and TPW drive me freaking nuts. They can't do anything! Not even Cut, Copy and Paste!

Yeah, I know it sucks - we're doing PASCAL at school. But at least not Cobol.

Huh. It doesn't appear to be.

I did find these, however:

Why would you want to compile PASCAL?

For a high school computer science course?

At least, that's the only reason why I've ever used pascal.

Yup. That's the reason... It kind of sucks, but I've done JavaScript last year, wasn't too bad (though I got lost in arrays).

I doubt I'll ever programme beyond what I do this year.

Thanks, though!

And while you're checking out Free Pascal, checkout the Lazarus project as well since they have a pretty good IDE for Free Pascal [Smile]
