They are making a 3rd-rate mainstream thriller, while incorporating a few bits from Lovecraft's works, and appropriating HPL's most famous character for the title to boost the audience. Meh. I'm still waiting for a first-rate, faithful adaptation of The Colour Out of Space , which I find to be one of HPL's finest non-Dreamlands stories. -Bok

Let's not forget the oh-so-forgettable, "Re Animator," and Wesley Crusher's (I'm sorry--Wil Wheaton) in "The Curse" Which was, in some strange and horrible way, "The Colour Out of Space." Unfortunately, I kid you not. --Steve

I like Re-Animator, but just as a fun splatterfest and not as actually Lovecraftian. Dagon was a pretty good movie based mostly on The Shadow Over Innsmouth. I will watch this trailer when I get home from work. --Enigmatic
