Normally I wouldn't be excited about this, but it's been over 130 days since we had rain in the Phoenix area, and the wildfire danger is extremely high because of it.

Hooray for rain!

We have so much rain two days ago that it reached four inches deep in our front yard after the first five or ten minutes. [Big Grin]

Um, yeah, yay for rain!

I moved from a place where it hardly ever rains to a place where it rains all of the time, but I think that I've been living here long enough to lose the "yay for rain" attitude.

It is, of course, raining here too.

You'll undoubtedly become sick of rain over the next week or so. Welcome back to Corvallis (in a couple hours, anyways).

Rain today segued into fog. By two favorite kinds of weather, mostly because I detest sunshine.

I'd be awfully miserable with 130 consecutive sunny days. Ugh.

I no longer live in a house that becomes lakefront property whenever there's a thunderstorm!

Bring it on, rain!

I like the rain, even though it rains so much here. It always makes the world smell so fresh and clean, and all the animals and plants seem really grateful for it. Drought is no fun! I'm glad you got some rain in Arizona, Shigosei!

It's been raining/storming nearly continuously since Friday. The courtyard where our cats live is a verifiable lake now.

Did any of you fellow Arizonan's catch a view of the Mogollon Rim and the White Mountains north of Phoenix yesterday? Solid white with snow almost all the way to the base (still there today, but the dust and smog has returned, so it isn't quite so pristine looking).

I saw the snow on the Carefrees from my bedroom window yesterday. [Smile]

I still had standing water in my backyard this morning! I estimate (based on the water in the once-empty pond in the back yard) that we got about 2 inches of rain in my area on Saturday.
