This up again down again temperature is really annoying. It's been in the upper 70's for the last two days but it's supposed to be back down in the 60's again by Tuesday. I don't see the point in turning the air conditioner on when I'll just have to turn it off again so right now I've got the ceiling fan running and the windows open. Oh well.

Well, Phoenix had its 143 days of no precipitation broken by nearly 36 hours of continous rain and cold (to us) weather. Strong winter storms in March seem to be a theme for us.

Well, living in Chicago means that since it is 60 degrees today, it will snow within the fortnight.
My first year here, I distinctly remember it being 39 degrees on June 1 and 65 degrees later on that week.

That's the midwest in general Kristen. "Michigan Weather" is a joke around here too. It can easily snow one day, be 60 the next, and then snow the following day. Hell, that happened in January. Though we tend not to get cold snaps like that in the summer as often.
It was below freezing a few days ago, today it was in the mid 50's, tomorrow the low 60's. And who knows next week? But I'll take the random days of warmth.
It tends to get fairly humid in the summer months, but it's far too dry in the winter for my tastes. On the whole I'd rather it be hot up here than down there, it's far more oppressive in the south.

I saw hail for the first time ever yesterday! That was amazingly exciting. But apparently hail hurts. And it's cold. That part is significantly less exciting.
I'm in NorCal and it snowed fifteen minutes away. That's really bizarre. I can look out my window and see snow. (Granted, it's on the mountain.) We're going to drive to it tomorrow.

I was actually wondering if the weird weather was part of a pattern since it doesn't normally snow in the bay area. According to the Chronicle, the last time we had March snow was in 1896 IIRC. And it seems there's a drought in Britain. But I guess the weather's normal elsewhere.
Still, I was hailed on. It was pretty mild, and definitely not painful. lots of fun, though it made my aunt and cousin even later than they were for dinner.

It started just as I walked out of my first class. I thought it was snow until I noticed that it was bouncing. And a lot larger than snow tends to be.

Hey SoaP- I live near you, I am in Woodbridge.
Yesterday, I drove from Indiana back to Virginia. Beautiful weather the entire drive! It was raining a bit in VA, but everything else was great. But I hear a rumor that it is going to go down to the 30s by the end of the week.
Meanwhile, bring on the sunshine!

The past week or so has been really nice down here in SC. It was really warm today, and I sat outside to study (and so I could watch the guys play frisbee ).
I can't take it anymore! Must...go...sailing...

Ah, Spring in Ohio! We opened up all of our windows and doors today, even though it's been raining. The fresh air was soooo nice. I've been sick, and now I feel MUCH better! *inhale* *exhale* ahhhhhh...

The weather is beautiful here in Northern Louisiana. Well, technically its only beautiful OUTSIDE. I live in a shotgun apartment. We have an AC window unit in the livingroom. But the unit of the back of the place, where my bedroom is, broke a few months back and our landlord refused to fix it until the weather got warm. Well, now its warm and I can't get ahold of him.
I've got two fans running and I stuck my sheets in the freezer. But I still expect to melt in my sleep.

No kidding. I'm in Fulton, and tornadoes have been sighted about 50 miles away. The cell may get here in an hour or so...
Hopefully the worst will stay south of me, but then it will hit a lot of my friends. Oh, the drama of March in Missouri.

I live in mid Missouri, but outside of the range of any tornado sirens. I didn't even know there were tornados about until this morning when I saw that my car was not washed clean by the rain, but instead had mud on the windshield. That's a sure sign a tornado was upwind of me somewhere, sucking up mud and raining it down later. I'm getting one of those weather alert radios tomorrow. We never watch local stations, and are generally clueless about bad weather coming.
