Two of my younger Bothers just got back from the Master's. They didn't get to see an entire day because of the rain, but they did get to see Tiger play 9 holes. My youngest brother is going to bed so he can sleep till Tiger is playing again tomorrow. He said it's like being a kid at Christmas.

So my question to you is what keeps you awake like a kid at Christmas.

for me it is when I am going someplace I have never been before, like when I went to China last year for work.

Unwanted memories from childhood ussually. Replaying the same scenes where I can barely remember the context, or why something happened and when.

Nothing much these days. I'm at the point where the things I used to get hyped up about only elicit mild interest and nothing has come to take their place yet.

Significant weather events.

Hmm, there's going to be a big thunderstorm rolling through at 1AM? I can stay up for that! [Smile]

A job that requires me to show up at a reasonable hour will nip this tendency of mine. My current job pretty much already has. I'm also fairly good at sleeping through the tame thunderstorms. Thunder is strangely soothing to me.

Traveling.

People who accuse me of postponing my packing don't realize that I am taking into account the extra 2 hours of jittery excitement that appears the night before.
