Last night I rolled a 20 with my +2 Keen Long Sword of Explosive Burst. I must have done a good 38 damage to that troll with a single hit!

You know, the advantage of a Keen longsword is that you don't need to roll a 20 to get a critical hit.

My husband plays enough that I *almost* know exactly what you're talking about. I feel like an ESL student.

If you want some great critical hits, check out the old RPG Rolemaster. I swear, half of the rules book was nothing but critical hit tables.

My friends are always trying to find things with more critical range, getting them enchanted keen, and taking improved criticals. Great, now you get a critical on 14-20, just one-shot all my monsters you jerks!

I blew a harm touch when I was down to about a bubble of health trying to solo a Hill Giant, and it didn't quite kill him. I got wacked down to 10 hit points - next shot kills me for sure - when I double-critted for max damage 183s, dropping him like a rock.

I understand all the words. It's the sentences that elude me.

See, that's what you get for still playing EQ.
My WoW hunter has so much critical hit gear (not really that much) that it's insane how often I crit (not nearly enough). I can do almost 3,000 damage in one hit though.
