Already, I feel nervous. All-star cast...but is that always a good thing?
And more than a little bit of the story seems to have been altered. The cook is a guy, and has a helper genie?

Desperaux was so good - and so different from Winn-Dixie, which was my first book by Kate DiCamillo. It was a good story, but it wasn't really my style. So I was surprised to enjoy the style of Desperaux so much!
