Can you all measure your kids heads for me. About the spot you'd want a hat to fall. I just need circumference. Also give me the age and gender of said kid. Thanks in advance.

Hmmm. I would but my kids are atypical and their circumference doesn't actually represent how big a hat has to be to fit them. Plus they scream.

Getting closer to Halloween has gotten me feeling morbid. Is it just me, or does it sound like breyerchic is preparing to eat some baby brains?

breyerchic, the CDC has a chart of average ranges of head circumference from birth to three years as pdf files: boys and girls.

John's head was 13 1/2 inches at birth. If I run across a tape measure I'll try to get you a 2 week measurement.

This is good enough, honestly. I'm about to make a baby hat for my cousin's baby (not due till January but they're having the shower in two weeks, I'm not sure this is a great idea). But having older ages makes sense too. I'll print those charts off and shove them in the patterns drawer (it used to be a folder). Everyone thought your squares were gorgeous, btw, especcially the love one.
