THE GOOD NEWS: Hugh Laurie is returning to sketch comedy.
THE BAD NEWS: The man who has written, produced and starred in some of the best comedy ever broadcast on television is leaving his fate in the hands of other writers. And not just any other writers. He's going on a show that has historically been acceptable at best, and is currently in the midst of one of its most pitiful seasons ever.
Who's going to catch this train wreck tomorrow? And who's going to do their best to keep from having all their good memories of the dude spoiled beyond repair?

Ah, but that's the beauty of the Internet. Rather than sit through an hour of painful television, I can wait until the next day when the good bits -- assuming there are any -- will be up on YouTube.
