I'm a nature documentary nerd, Ill say this now. But even if you find them boring what this bird can do is just pure awesomeness.

Its not fake, I've watched David Attenborough and the BBC documentaries he narrates for a very long time.

I loved the camera with a motor shutter the best to be honest. I love the fact that the person taking the picture of the bird probably had no idea they were assisting the bird with its mating song.

That was really neat. I was really impressed with the birds ability to make the sounds, but it makes me sad that he is familiar enough with the sound of a chainsaw to imitate it.

Don't forget the car alarm!

When my daughter was like 4 or 5, and was over at my dad's house, my brother was making random semi-musical sounds on his viola to warm-up. Minutes later, I heard the same noises again--it was my daughter, mimicing those sounds! Boy, did that piss my brother off!

The parody thread that should emerge from this one should be "Immigration is the highest form of flattery."

.. actually, that's just good on its own.

A worthy past time for any southerner is to teach a Mockingbird to whistle the first few bars of the Mexican Hat dance.

It is possible, and it is hilarious.

As a child in Texas I would amuse myself by teaching mockingbirds new songs.

Wow. Did you see how his whole body language went crazy with the chainsaw sounds??

Sad in some ways, but impressive.

Oh - to be able to pick up language so quickly...

That's the craziest, coolest friggin thing I've seen in a looooong time.

The warbly noises he makes sound like R2-D2 came rolling through the woods one too many times.

haha!

I'd love to test the limits of this birds range. It could easily be the life of any party.

Okay, THAT was cool. It's stuff like that that more firmly solidifies my belief in a creator.
