I don't care what year it was so long as it was within the last 15, but what individual paid the highest income tax in america? The most actual dollars, not by percentage.
I doubt it was bill gates. Most of his money is in stock and he doesn't pay till he sells.

I have to agree on that one. You can find out what companies pay in taxes I think but individuals are a little more hard to get, but I could be wrong???

Hmm, I don't think that's public information.
I found who the biggest taxpayer was in Hong Kong pretty quickly, and which companies pay the most taxes, but so far nothing on biggest individual taxpayer nationwide.

I couldn't find much for the US (although I found recent ones for other countries). I did find the one in the US from 1946, but that's way out of your 15 year timeframe. Sorry I'm not much help.

I was kind of hoping the person would be trumpeted by an anti-tax group... But the person is probably a limousine liberal (which I believe Geffen is, but don't quote me on that)
Thanks for your help anyway guys =)
