...from my residence room on Sunday. I'd like to get some advice as to what I should do.

So far, I've told my Residence Assistant, Campus Police, and my parents. I've changed all my online passwords and anything that might have been stored on my laptop. Me and my parents are looking into insurance matters. Anything else I should do?

They do have some software that can 'track' your laptop if stolen. it might be worthwhile if you get another laptop?

Have you ordered things online with a credit or debit card? That information might have gotten saved somewhere, so I would keep a close eye on your finances.

Try this,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVTpywWO4G4

Besides being a completely awesome way to scare the hell out of somebody who stole your computer, it does list two things that can help you track your computer.

1: Windows, install it on a 2nd computer

2: Wireless cards.
