That looks like a rehearsal to me. I'd love to see their actual performance venue, because it must be enormous!

I was just in Fiddler last year, and it's funny to me how different this doesn't seem. I could practically sing along. Their Tevye seems very talented--he has a lot of personality that comes through--even though he is also quite young. The others I was less impressed with. Their Avram played the part quite differently from how I did.
Thanks for sharing this. It brought back (mostly) good memories and gave me a new look at a show I'm quite familiar with. Posts: 13680 | Registered: Mar 2002

Yeah, Icky, I was actually impressed with their Tevye, too, and I thought they all had pretty good voices (although some of the costume choices made me laugh out loud.)

I think the struggle of keeping with tradition would be very popular with Japanese people. It was completely believable with Japanese actors Posts: 14316 | Registered: Jul 2005

I recommend "In search of Sugihara : the elusive Japanese diplomat who risked his life to rescue 10,000 Jews from the Holocaust" by Hillel Levine. He saved my paternal great-grandfather, as well as many, many other people.
