My dad knows there was a comic strip in newspapers that had a man that often rode a gas powered unicycle. Does anyone remember this at all, or have much better skills at googling than Fugu or I? I would like pictures of that one, a name of a comic, or other stories about gas powered unicycles.

It's possible. I haven't seen it, and that isn't what I invisioned (or what he is building) so I don't think so. But it is possible. I would have thought it was more of a human, and a slightly more normal looking motorcycle).

Ha! You found exactly the same image I did (and I had already thought of Gyro, due to my father's extension collection of Gladstone comics, but I found that image on search just trying for the unicycle).

My dad did love Gyro, that was the only reason he read Scrooge McDuck stuff, but he's pretty sure that's not it.

My grandma remembered the name slim jim, I have no clue if that is related, she thinks it is.
