You know, I expected to have all kinds of trouble adjusting to life back home when I got back, but it was surprisingly easy.
Are you sure you didn't just carry on as if you were still a missionary? I hear you don't even get TV where you live now.
I was actually a mess for about 4 days after getting home. Once my family left it was much easier to adjust.

I have to ask, how are you adjusting? I'm still a mess right now, in the month I've been back I've been helping my family prepare the house we have in New Jersey for the market, and help them pack stuff up in North Carolina, so that they can move to Houston, leaving me confused as to where I should be, what I should be doing etc. I just can't wait till this settles down so that I can get a job, and go live on my own.
I will say, I'm very suprised that you were on a mission, I thought you were alot older. That and I didn't hear when you left because you left after I did.

Hobbesy is a young'n...only 22 or so. Right?
I wasn't a wreck after my mission so much as I just wanted to be alone. I'm a person who needs alone time and after not having any for 19 months, it was time for me to just be by myself. Of course that didn't happen, which was where any adjustment trouble came in. I ended up living with my family for 3 more years while I finished my undergrad and graduate degrees. Then, oh then, I finally got to be alone for a while.
I think coming home is so radically different for everyone. I hope Hobbes is doing just fine.
