Starscream got one or two lines, but his character and traditional conflicts were both afterthoughts. See, Michael Bay thought "ordinary" people wouldn't be interested in good robots fighting evil robots, so ultimately unimportant new human characters got far more screen-time than most of the robots.

That's why I hated that movie. Plus, Starscream was my favorite character. He needed WAY more play.

I didn't like the fact that Frank Welker wasn't Megatron, and I thought Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime was a rather large draw, superficial though it may have been. No Chris Shea (I got the name right didn't I?) as the voice of Cobra Commander is going to be a huge letdown. Granted in this situation it can't be helped, as sadly he has passed away, it will still be not as enjoyable I think.
Hell, I still watch the cartoons, and love the cartoon movie just like I love the Transformers movie. I think this is going to turn out to be just like any other shoot em up movie that's come out recently, only with names that 80's children will recognize in an attempt to suck some more cash out of via a B movie that plays on our childhood memories.
If the previews look good, I may consider seeing it, but this one might be too far for me. I love GI Joe, and I don't want to pay to see it ruined.

They way "Jo" is spelled in your title, I always think of Little Women. They'll win COBRA over with kindness and stories.

quote: I'm also going to have a really hard time picturing anybody else's voice as Cobra Commander.
How did you do with Starscream? Or did he talk in the movie? I can't remember.
Actually haven't seen the movie, but considering the voice actor is dead I'd probably feel the same way I do about the Commander.
