Cartoon Network has posted the first three minutes of "Transformers: Animated":

http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/video

Really upset about Optimus... I'm almost convinced that's not him. His voice is different, he looks different, he displays emotion, and he has a MOUTH?!?

The cast listed on IMDB is interesting...

- Lance Henriksen: I love him as an actor, but I just can't picture him here.

- It has Weird Al Yankovic playing "Wreck-Gar" in all the episodes.

- Starscream is voiced by the same person that does Spongebob Squarepants, Tom Kenny.

It's not worth installing the ActiveX plug-in for Firefox to see that. I'll look for it on YouTube later. [Smile]

BTW, ActiveX in Firefox (if you enable it) is more dangerous than ActiveX in IE. The problems are really in ActiveX, not Firefox, but IE 7 adds some extra code to sandbox ActiveX that FireFox doesn't have.

Didn't realize it was an ActiveX; it just played on my machine, no questions asked.

Blech. Optimus' mouth makes him look all...sissified.

Cam versions are on youtube.

I dunno. They look entirely too... organic. Like it's been influenced by Beasties.

I just watched it (with the sound off).

It looks absolutely terrible. The animation style is completely wrong for Transformers.

But it has Townsend Coleman as a voice actor, can't be all bad.

I have absolutely no wish to see a terribly bastardized version of Transformers done by Cartoon Network...

The later versions of Transformers were already bastardized, what's the difference?

It looks to be more of a Beat Wars type. They have the female, spider-ish character that was in that series. I don't remember her name, but she had loyalty issues.
