Wow, 1000 posts. It only took me almost two years. I know that is a long time for many around here, but it took me a little longer.
I am real now, thanks to the ketchup family. I have met Hatrackers in Houston and LA but not the one that lives only 20 miles away from me. Sorry Boon, hopefully we can meet for some Webers soon.
I turn 33 in less than a month and for some reason it is really starting to bother me. I am thinking back to my youth and wishing I would have listened to my parents more. My dad said I should think about it more when I joined the National Guard. I really wanted the adventure that would have only come with joining the regular Army. Of course, I was promised that by the recruiter. I should have known. Of course, I can't get upset about what could have been. If I had gone to the regular Army, I would not have the family and job I do now.
I have a wonderful wife, four beautiful girls, and one of the neatest jobs I could imagine. All four of my girls are in school right now (another sign I am getting older). They are all as smart as can be, although some are not as motivated as others.
That's really about it. Nothing spectacular about me. I have enjoyed this site and look forward to many more discussion. I think I will stay away from the religious (or non-religion) ones though.

Glad to have you brojack. I think it took me about 2 years to hit 2000 posts as well. But it didn't take another 2 to hit 4000.

That may be smart. A lot of other people develope close relationships with peolpe. I haven't. Farmgirl is the only one I talk to on a regular basis.
Will you be my friend?

You did post it during one of the slowest weeks of the year. Only the spambots are posting regularly.

This seems like the most happenin' time of year... at least for the past few months. It just seems like there've been a ton of posts lately.

Hey, bro, what makes you the 17th? I don't think there are 16 other brojacks registered here, are there?
Or do you come from a remarkably long line of brojacks?
When I turned 33 1/3, I celebrated my LP birthday. I'll be coming up on 45 in a couple of years, and will celebrate my "single" birthday, then.
And I don't believe that I have found anything landmarkable to landmark about, and I'm closing in on 10K. I may never landmark.

I took over as the director of the college and carrer class at my church when the church went through a split. Anyway, I setup a hotmail account to communicate with the class. I couldn't think of a handle and I always thought it was funny how people in churches call each other brother and sister. I decided on BroJack as a shorter, hopefully more hip, version of Brother Jack. Hotmail already had a brojack so I had to add a number to the end.
The 17 came from the number I used in all the sports I played as a kid. When I played flag football in the second grade, I picked that number and have used it ever since. My dad took me to practice and the coach asked me what number I wanted. I thought and though and finally said 17. My dad was curious and asked why I picked 17. I said, "I thought 71 might have been taken." There was really no reason to pick either number, but it stuck.
I am a creature of habit so all of my free e-mail account, im, and on-line login handles are brojack17. This makes it easier for me to remember.
I just thought everyone here posted a landmark at 1000 posts. Kind of an official introduction. Next time, if I don't have anything to landmark, I won't bother. No one likes an unremarkable landmark.

I posted a landmark like over a year ago. When I turned 18- it wasn't a Hatrack landmark necessarily- but it was a big deal to me. And I just hit 600 posts.
I read this place all the time. I'm trying to post more.
