I just got a call on my cell from someone I know in Peru. I should contact Verizon or look through FAQs on their website, but thought I'd try here first in case anyone knows. Am I gonna get hit with nasty airtime fees for that call? It only lasted 6 minutes.
I actually don't ever remember giving her my cell phone number. It's this woman I befriended from my church who doesn't speak English, and I speak virtually no Spanish -- it's all some kind of pidgin Portuguese with me, and I don't understand her very well. She returned to Peru several years ago and still calls me every 6 months or so and I just don't feel the connection she does; the conversations are certainly always lame with me going "sorry, no entiendo!" If I'd checked the number, I wouldn't have picked up, sad to say. I guess she's really lonely.

I'm pretty sure that you only pay normal minutes for receiving an international call on a cell phone.
