The new trailer for the new film was recently released. Doesn't look too terrible. However, I liked the first one. I think the trailer shows some interesting potential for definite coolness.

I'm pretty excited about it. I very much enjoyed the director's cut of the first movie, so I have high hopes for this one. Plus, you know, Hellboy is one of my favorite fictional characters.
I hope that Rasputin comes back as well, on account of how he's one of my favorite antagonists, but I find it a bit unlikely.

I think sometimes that's exactly the sort of film we need. Something that's just fun to watch and that can be visually stimulating. Not everything needs to be a metaphor for the complexities of daily human life.
Everyone loves a good popcorn movie every now and again. And this looks like it'll be a great one.
