This quiz is far from perfect, but it's still kind of fun.

According to my results, I've got a -3.38 on the Left/Right axis, and a -5.9 on the Libertarian/Authoritarian axis. That's about right for me on the L/R axis, but I think that I'm quite a bit less libertarian than my score would suggest.

Economic Left/Right: -2.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.41

I guess those are out of 10 possible points?

I could only answer some of those questions in ways that I know didn't really express my opinion. I think a start for such a test would be that they have to use quotes someone has actually said at some point.

P.S. It also bugs me that the "Libertarian Authoritarian" axis is upside down relative to how it's depicted, with authoritarian in the positive space and libertarian in the negative.

Dumb test:

Economic Left/Right: 3.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.41

Some of the questions were just so poorly phrased that they were really meaningless to me.

I agree with Lisa. Also, I'm suprised at how middle of the road it rated me.

I agree with Lisa. This is a pretty dumb test. They were obviously leading.

Economic Left/Right: 7.62
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.41

It's really telling that none of the world leaders are in the square for social and economic freedom. All but 2 are on the Fascist side of the horizontal line, and those are on the Communist side of the vertical line.

I'm smack in the middle, a unit to the right, a unit to the libertarian side.

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -5.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.26

EDIT: I get a different score on this every time I take it because some of the questions are rather ambiguous.

Does this make me radical or reactionary? Somewhere, somehow, Bastiat is smiling.

Hah! Wow, I didn't even realize that.

Now I'm wondering if I didn't accidentally copy/paste yours my accident instead of my own. I had your screen open because you had the link in the OP. But I think I still did mine and it's just a coincidence. I don't feel like taking it again to doublecheck.

Weird.

Nebulous wording aside, not having a "neutral" option skewed my answers in a couple of cases. Still, the end result matches up pretty closely to what I've gotten in other, similar "political compass" tests. I guess I'm just easy to categorize. [Smile]

I'm a little surprised I'm *that* far to the left on the economic scale, but, eh.

Some rather odd questions. Personally I would prefer just agree or disagree - most of those subjects don't register really strong feelings. Anyhow, I scored:

Economic Left/Right: -3.62
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.82

Which puts me between Ghandi and the Dalai Lama. I wear glasses already, all that's missing are the robes.

Interesting.

Mine was pretty close:

Economic Left/Right: -3.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.95

Can I be in the club?

Are we talking the human race, or would I answer this only if I was a white supremacists (being a white guy myself)? I honestly have a hard time figuring out the question either way.

Sort of oddly worded too, because it doesn't say "your race", it says "our race". So this makes me think it means the human race. But what other "races" would I be comparing it too? I don't see any elves or dwarves around much.

And thus, by existing at all, we're clearly superior. [Razz]

As a political test I rank it just slightly above The World's Smallest Political Quiz but that ain't saying much.
