Their family has suffered some major trials over the last year including the father having a massive stroke that is taking some time healing. Due to a medical error he is suffering other health challenges too. This girl is such a sweetheart and is trying earnestly to get the money together to attend a very competitive design school in California. She's already been accepted and just needs to get the funds together. She entered this contest at Brickfish and needs to be in the top 10 by August 1st to win money. If you could help out and vote for her as often as possible that would be a huge help.

As a guest it usually lets you vote every 3 hours or so and leaving comments also boosts her rating. I don't usually ask for these kinds of things but it sure would be awesome for this girl to get one step closer to her dream.

Thanks for any help you can give - vote once, vote once a day, vote as often as you can but if you could please vote!

Vote for Missa!

******UPDATE*******
You guys are helping so much!n She has another contest if you don't mind voting for both when you go over. You guys have been a huge help in getting her noticed.

Voted! I'll try to remember to vote often. I'm a sucker for financially-inhibited dreams.

What a cutie! Though I'm not sure what I just voted for. It's just like a real election.

Heehee - sorry pooka - I didn't explain well. The top ten will receive a cash prize that Missa is putting towards school.

Is it just a vote for who you want to get the money, or is it ostensibly about something else?

Here's the explanation. It is rather puzzling.
http://www.brickfish.com/Lifestyles/JustFaceItFacePhotoChallenge

So she gets bonus points if we embed her link in our other website presences.

I voted, because what did it cost me? 10 seconds? Not sure who I voted against, in effect, though. I'll just assume they don't deserve my 10 seconds as much. [Wink]

I can't see her face because of all that messy hair... She should get a better photo.

Not sure if you are looking at the right photo then because her hair is not in her face at all. Thanks for the votes - every vote pushes her a little closer to the top.

Now she is up to number 16. I am sure she could catch up to number 15 soon.

She reached 10! Still, it would be good to get her a solid lead at number 5 or something [Smile]

Our goal should be to beat myspace for the amount of votes or hits or whatever that number on the viral map is. We can do it!

Oh, and we can help a girl fulfill her dream. Psh. [Wink]

I've voted a couple times, and I'm really sad that she's currently placed right behind what appears to be a Real Doll. QQ

I just looked at the rules (linked above). They don't say she needs to be in the top 10 to get a scholarship prize, nor will she automatically win even if she is number 1:

quote:
# Grand Prize: One entry, selected from the top 100 highest scoring entries will receive a $1,000 scholarship or cash.
# Most Viral: One entry, selected from the top 100 entries receiving the most attention across the Internet, will receive a $250 scholarship or cash. Learn more about Most Viral.
# Weekly Voter / Reviewers Sweepstakes: Thirteen winners, who participate in the campaign by voting or reviewing, will be randomly selected to win a $50 scholarship or cash.

Seems like alot of work for a 1% chance at $1000 and a 1% chance at $250...

Maybe you should set up a "Hatrack Scholarship" or something...

Thanks for the clarification Dagonee. I didn't know. At least we get her noticed. I just added another link if you get a chance to vote for her Coach bag.
