That's actually the chain rule, although you've applied it to a logarithm. But it is indeed a cool concept. I use them all the time.

A collage a capella group using it shouldn't be any reason to stop you. You just need to become more famous than them. Considering they're a college a capella group, that shouldn't be an impossible task.
