As a reformed Goth (grown up and almost on a day shift) who still loves the scene, this fills me with emo.

I don't know how big the "goth" or "emo" scenes are in Russia, but this is quite sad for them. Sad part is, this trend will invariably spread to other "dangerous" subcultures, like rockers, Weeaboos, [are there Weeaboos in Russia?], wangsters, [are there wangsters in Russia?], gangsters [I KNOW there are gangsters in Russia].

OH NO! Russia might outlaw gangs! I hope the trend doesn't spread here because then a vibrant and contributing subculture will be forced to move underground! THE HORROR

It was meant to be a double entendre-referring to both gangster both as in the ghetto-imagery fashion trend/subculture among today's youth, as well as the Russian mafia, and other such illegal conglomerates.

I wonder, would this fall under indecency or freedom of expression laws?
I guess it depends-is showing underclothing considered indecent? I know there are certain laws defining nudity, but the lines blur here a bit. I don't think if half an inch of underwear is showing, you should go to jail, but if 50% or more of your underwear is clearly visible, it's good deal more excusable. I know if more than 50% of your hindquarters is showing, it's considered indecent, but that's actual nudity. It seems like a state-to-state thing, in my opinion.

....? But isnt anything that Putin doesnt like illegal in Russia? that is how dictatorships work right. (yes ofcourse I know that Putin is repeatedly "elected" president)
Note: if anything Putin doesnt like is illegal and punishable, ABBA never has to worry about being arrested.

Oh thank goodness. My generation has spent countless hours stressing over which genre a band falls under and what truly constitutes "emo" if anything. Now the government can do it for us. I'm sure they'll figure it out.
