This thread shall not be long, This thread shall not bend, It shall not be worthy of song, It shall now end.

We are not dead yet, though we neither dance nor sing. This thread will let, for I am the Bing.

A three letter post is a shame Can't you find something less lame? Rondel or haiku Or a sonnet would do Come on, keep your head in the game!

Roses may be red and violets are definitely blue, but your poem leaves me with dread That it would be this thread's adieu.

We've found that threads can end. It surely won't be me. Who will write the post that exceeds this thread's capacity.

How did you find my limits end, Just short of writing little? Will this thread yet round the bend? Surpass the worth of spittle?

The gnarly tale construed, by those who cannot hear. A seat tacky as glued, someone get them a beer.
A tale without end, no doubt, make those without ear, to shout. Flustered, they move, chair stuck in a grove, and beer in the fridge is all out.

This thread nearly died. Victory was nearly Oshki's. Had that been, I'd have cried. So I'm resurrecting this thread rightly.

Rail, rail now against the thread that is known by "Last Poem", Lash out and deny it's fearful lyricism, it's structures Denying, by the last breath that flows from our mouths, denied Into the depths of cold, fearful, cyberspace plunged

To be last, or not to be last: that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous poems, Or to take arms against a sea of posts, And by opposing end them? Now die, now sleep!

What little ditty could ever suffice to serve as a terminus rather than splice the ditties above and the ditties below? It may not be for ye scribblers to know.
Behooveth it not ye to expect to fail? Why should "I'm last!" forever ye rail? Accept that your rimes shall be merged and their terminal import be purged.

Can I do aught but respond, To your ill concealed ploy? Thoughts another post have spawned Don't even try to act coy For if I allow You'll trick me some how And this thread will fail, Your filth on its' tail.

Some day Ages and ages hence When the sun is old And the universe has wound down to a wobble The words "Last Post!" will be typed For truly the last time And the last user On the last Internet terminal Will log out of Hatrack And the lights will go out And all will be silent.
