In the spirit of 'Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality', I thought I'd bring this little gem to everyone's attention.
It's so nerdy that I can barely contain it.
Charles Sonnenburg, better known as 'sfdebris', is a minor celebrity in the world of online reviews. I've been watching his video reviews for the last few months and particularly enjoyed his scathing commentary on Star Trek: Voyager.
Anyway, I just discovered that he wrote an epic Star Trek/Star Wars crossover fanfic a few years ago. How epic? 250 chapters in 6 'novels'.
And it's actually not bad. I've just started it, and I'm having a lot of fun.
Quick summary to get you interested: Something or someone has opened a wormhole between the universes, resulting in a first contact between the Federation and the Galactic Empire...and an invasion of the Empire by the Borg.
Check it out. I'm sure I can't be the only one here who enjoys such things.

Wait, which story is first? My browser seems to drop big pictures in the middle of the text, so I can't read what's being said. The information might be there. I admit I'm curious, but now Raja's reaction has me...well...quailing, heh.

Isn't it? I've made it through about four and a half chapters, and not all of it is that horrible, but a decent bit of it is.

I've read the first book. The plotting isn't horrible, but the writing itself is awful. The guy misuses words to an almost comical degree.

Yeah I don't have time to try and read this (and the only review of his I enjoyed was when he reviewed the worst Voyager episode of all time), but I'd love to read a few choice passages and have a good laugh.

I couldn't get past the two sentences I quoted above. I just couldn't see the point. Even if he has a good plot, I would have to be a lot nerdier than I am to wade through that.
