Liked it sooo much better than Revolution, and I like Revolution.
I don't have a lot of room to record things in HD on my DVR, but this is a show that I need to watchin in HD, it just looks fantastic. Loved the pilot, though I gotta say I have no idea what the show is going to be like on a weekly basis.

I thought they could have made a good movie or mini-series. I'm also not sure how they'll turn this into a multi-season series.

The writers wouldn't have to go further than their local news or spend a few hours watching any reality show and come up with a a lot of crazy reasons people might seek therapy. The world is full of disturbed folks, who don't even realize they're disturbed. And that can be easily turned into comedy, as always.
They should have enough material for several seasons worth with just that alone, wouldn't you think?

Yeah, there's much more chance to make Go On into a successful multi-season series than Last Resort.

I mean, Matthew Perry will have finally gone on, won't he? Unless he starts his own therapy group, I can't see the show being interesting in new seasons.

Now I've watched Last Resort and I liked it a lot. They can easily make a whole bunch of seasons out of it. They'll make a new Nation or a whole New World Order, whatever.

It seems like he's in denial regarding his issues. So, it looks like he's set up to be troubled for quite awhile and might not be able to "go on" very quickly. They could keep the focus on him and his anger issues without the therapy sessions or he could end up taking over and leading all the group sessions. Who knows.
I also watched the entire first episode of Last Resort. I like the Captain and his XO. They have an interesting relationship.
I can see them putting a lot of history into the next episodes, slowly connecting the dots. If the episodes to come keep the same pace as the first one, with constant bombing and bombing retaliation, I don't see where they'd go with that.
Looking forward to the next episode!

Have you watched Common Law? It's a summer series that's part crime part comedy about two detectives sent by their chief to couples' counseling. After the first season they "solve" the issue that got them sent there, but they decide they still need help.
Granted, when there are two people there are more chances to keep things going, but Perry/King definitely has more issues than just this one. So if you don't mind that some of the future seasons might not be about the exact same issue (thus making the title of the series a bit inaccurate) I think they can keep it up for a while.

Well, I guess you're right. I can imagine it being well made in possible future season, although I have a feeling that it's not gonna. But then, Perry is a really great comedy actor, so anything's possible as far as they got him.

Sadly Last Resort had low premiere ratings. I don't think they count how many watched it on Hulu. But hopefully they do. If you watched the "upcoming episode preview" they go into where its going. A little.

I think the second episode was a little worse than the first. But still, I give this show 6,5/10
