I've been asking different folks about a site I was thinking of starting for new writers, and I wanted to poll the opinion of hatrackers.
Basically, I've got a lot of stories that are partially begun. Rather than invest the time to complete all of them, I figured it would be useful to see which ones people would actually want to read -- and then I could go and finish those ones.
So I'm considering starting a site where I post the first page of my stories, plus a brief synopsis, and then let people vote or comment on the ones they like best.
For those budding authors out there, would you like to use such a site? And for readers, would you find it interesting to look at?

Bad idea. I would find a writers group close to you. At least then people actually know you, and you them.
