Whee! Lots of characters and visual potential, but I’m nervous about the fact that this is by the same writers of the first film, who also wrote Prince Caspian (NOT a good sign).

However, Robert Redford's character makes for an interesting potential conflict between Nick Fury and himself. Anthony Mackie's Falcon looks amazing, though I was hoping for at least a character note from him, instead of just action. Black Widow sounds like she's much more Avengers than Iron Man 2 (an excellent thing). No appearance from Emily VanCamp's Sharon Carter yet. Some pretty cool Winter Soldier moments, though I really don't get a sense of the actual story. I thought there were some really important themes, but themes do not a plot make. On the other hand, I do generally like trailers that give ideas of the story rather than give it all away (see also: nearly every Ender's Game trailer yet - each one spoils an even more important plot point at the end of the novel [Smile] This one...it's not quite John Carter level "I have no clue what is going on in this film," but it's definitely more than a bit confusing, on a "what will be happening in this movie" (other than huge explosions).

This trailer looks amazing. I can't wait. It looks like they're going to blend Cap's old school virtues with modern terrorism and whatnot.

I'm not worried. Though the first film wasn't everyone's favorite, you can't argue that it wasn't solid. Many people (myself included) would rank Cap'n's first outing right near the first Iron Man. We'll get a good movie. It might not be everyone's favorite, but I'll wager that it'll beat the new Thor flick.

The teenage girl demographic will keep Thor a financial success, I'd bet.

I think the Hiddleston fans will keep Thor ahead of Cap.

Though I have to admit, the trailer for Winter Soldier makes it look a heck of a lot better than the first one. It also makes it look a lot more interesting and engaging than the Thor movie.

Yeah I kinda feel like Captain American 2 is going to be critically better than Thor 2, but may pull in less numbers. It's too bad, but that's just how it goes sometimes.
