Not really an alternative so much as complementary, is it? One track was commissioned for the film specifically. At any rate, I have mixed feelings about The Flaming Lips. I'd like to hear that title track.

Man I just checked out a music video or two of these guys and it was like the younger brother of the Black Keys wanted to grow up and not be annoying and pubescent, but he started hanging out with Primus and smoking weed and it all went wrong so wrong

Considering the musical style and history of The Flaming Lips, I still just think this is an astoudingly strange assocation between film and musical artist.
