For months, Democrats and members of the mainstream media have complained about President Trump’s mental health.
Democrat Congresswoman Jackie Speier went as far as saying Trump exhibits “mental instability” and was placing “the country in grave danger.”
Responding to the critics, Trump elected to take a mental examination to supplement the physical assessment conducted by the Physician to the President Navy Rear Adm. Ronny Jackson.
The Daily Caller reports Trump aced the cognitive ability test, doing “exceedingly well on it.”
The report notes that Trump specifically elected to take the test and was not requested to do so:
Reporters have suggested for months that Trump is mentally unstable, and NBC’s Hallie Jackson was quick to ask about the president’s mental health during the briefing.
Trump was not initially supposed to receive a cognitive exam during his first presidential trip to the doctor, but Dr. Jackson said that Trump specifically requested the exam himself.
How’d he do? “Exceedingly well,” Jackson said:
“I had absolutely no concerns about his cognitive ability or his — you know, neurological function,” Jackson asserted. “I was not going to do a cognitive exam. I had no intention of doing one. The reason we did the cognitive assessment is plain and simple because the president asked me to do it.”
“The president did exceedingly well on it,” Jackson assured reporters. “That was not driven at all by any concerns I had. It was driven by the president’s wishes and he did well on it.”

Jackson said Trump nevertheless requested that he undergo a neurological exam, presumably to combat heightened speculation among his critics about his fitness for office and overall mental health. He said it’s the first time any president took this kind of test, as far as he knows.
“He mentally is very sharp, very tact,” Jackson told reporters, noting that Trump scored 30 out of of 30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, a test that can help detect mild cognitive impairment or Alzheimer’s disease.

“The cognitive test, it’s well-respected. It’s a test that’s used throughout the United States,” he said. “The fact that the president got 30/30 on that exam, there’s no indication whatsoever that he has any cognitive issues.”
“All clinical data indicates that [Trump] is currently very healthy, and that he will remain so for the duration of his presidency,” the presidential physician concluded.

I saw this article originally posted on Facebook by Sarah Palin, but when I copied and pasted that link and tried it a day later, I got an error message. So I selected a different link that worked. It was not word for word, but contained the same information. All you have to do is search on "Trump passes mental exam" and you will come up with lots of sites.
I wondered what the reaction would be to this story from the political left, which is so dedicated to the dishonest claim that Trump is crazy just because he disagrees with their way of thinking. Samprimary's mindless ranting pretty much answers that question.

I mean, I'm glad he didn't fail a cognition test? But he routinely fails so many other valid indicators of ethics, competency, and emotional development that this doesn't make me loath him any less.
He could have the highest cognitive scores in the history of man, and that would only make me want him out of office more.

From the beginning, I supported Ted Cruz, and I still believe he would have been an ideal president. But President Trump has been to me a pleasant surprise. He has delivered on his campaign promises one after another. He has produced the Trump economic Boom, and has gotten pretty much the tax reform that he wanted. Things are going so well for the economy, that Obama is trying to take the credit for it! The country is benefiting from Trump's leadership. African-American unemployment is the lowest it has been in 45 years. The stock market keeps hitting new records. You may not like his style, but that is really all you can criticize him for. As for his ethics, look at what he has done (things like forcing integration in Florida, promoting lots of women to top executive positions), not at what dishonest people falsely claim about him. As for competency, no president in the past half century has come even close to him in competency. He is, after all, a billionaire. His success is pretty hard to dispute! The burden is really on anyone who would criticize his competency to show why they are qualified to judge him on competency.
President Trump is proving that political liberalism is stupid foolishness. He is PROVING it. That is what liberals cannot stand. He is conclusively proving them wrong.

Even though it’s predictable, it actually does disappoint me that you’re so cheerful about debasing yourself like this, Ron. By your own standards, even if everything you said about Trump and what he’s accomplished were true-and it’s horseshit, of course-you should still despise him. Aside perhaps for a priest of Zeus, Trump is about as unChristian a fellow as one can hope to find. You’re supposed to not be a fan of that.
I know that defeating liberals (and imagining you’ve defeated liberals) has been your primary political end, judging by your rhetoric over a decade, but try to have some self-respect.

as a specific example, well over 40 percent of republicans regard factual news as "fake news" simply because it says negative things about trump or conservatives. like, that it's factual is irrelevant. it's fake news now
