Ready for readers. Here's the first thirteen.

“Yassir! I’m gonna teach that fella a lesson!” Grandpa waved his new toy around as he spoke.
Uncomfortable? Yes, I was. The silver Ruger now dancing before me was certainly a beautiful handgun; but I wasn’t sure it qualified as a toy. And I wasn’t sure that Grandpa was as sane as the good Doctor who released him might believe.
“Which fella, Pa-pa?”
Grandpa snorted. “Your little sister’s boy-toy, that’s who.”
“Devlin?” I raised one eyebrow.
“That’s the one.”
“What kind of lesson you reckon he needs?”
