...or goats-inspired spider story, in this instance.
Yet another story from Hatrack's 1st Rewrite Challenge is let loose into the world of fiction. This time, I have the pleasure of announcing, it's my story, A Sticky Situation.
It will appear in the second issue of FWG (http://www.fantasyworldgeographic.com), which is scheduled for publication in June.
Thanks go out to all those Hatrackers (too numerous to list, but you know who you are) who helped.
Wrapping up, this is my first ever acceptance, and it was also my first ever submission (though I did write one query elsewhere to submit electronically, and that was "accepted", but to submit I had to wait quite some time before they were ready for it). I feel a bit ashamed that I don't have a proud stack of rejections on my desk, but there's always tomorrow...

Congratulations! Sounds like those rewrite challenges are really paying off. Here's hoping the flash challenges do the same! Congrats again.

Not much changed, Shadow.. just a bit of cutting to remove unnecessary wordage, etc. The story is essentially unchanged.
Minister: The first certainly has! How many stories from that one has been published? Four or five?
Autumn: Much to the disappointment of my offendees, I'm working on being less offensive. Seems to be working, overall.
Thanks again! Now on to those rejections. MaryRobinette claims I've more stories ready for submittal. I'm still waiting on an answer as to which stories those are...

Wow. I don't know if I'm more impressed with the story or the first submission/first acceptance thing. Way to go, HSO!
