Possibly through some sort of timewarp, the September issue of Analog arrived in my mailbox today. I'm not sure if this means it's on store shelves yet or not.
The issue contains my novelette "Resonance," for which I received some feedback through F&F. Survivor's technical advice (in email) on the space elevator aspect of the story was particularly valuable.
It also contains stories by Larry Niven and Kevin J. Anderson, among others. I'm thrilled to be sharing a table of contents with them.

That is so cool. Don't forget to get a couple of extra copies and put them away in baggies. It's always nice to have a spare copy or two laying around.

I happened to be in the library over lunch today and just stumbled into this issue, so I read your story. Nice piece of work. What was the word count on that one?

Mike. You can always go to Clarksworld and buy it. That's generally what I do since I often have a hard time finding a book store that carries it.

I was able to get it at Barnes and Noble. But it wasn't at all obvious -- look for the part of the magazine rack that has the *literary* magazines. At my B & N they are in an unlabelled part of the rack directly under "men's interest". There, nestled between Writer's Digest and the Missouri Review, were two copies of Analog. They did not have Asimov's however...

This is a little late in the day to be adding to this thread, but I can't help it...this is the kind of magazine one should subscribe to. I've often found the science fiction magazines hard to find. Some issues show up on the newsstands, others don't. (Though I do like to sample magazines by buying them over-the-counter before I do subscribe...)

I subscribed in July but they didn't get the September issue to me, so I missed your story. But I told them anyway that your story was why I subscribed.
