Some of you old-timers may remember the very first short story I posted on F&F: "The Naming at the Pool". I've sold the revised version to Reflection's Edge. It's this month's featured piece.
It's a milieu I plan to set a novel in, eventually. There's a map and a book of myths and some fragmentary history.
Right now, all I have are several short stories. Two appeared in Deep Magic ("Kindred Spirits" and "The Triad's Gift"--you can also read it for free on my website www.aliettedebodard.com), one in The Sword Review ("Citadel of Cobras" in the May 2006 issue), one is scheduled to appear in Leading Edge ("At the Gates of White Marble"), and one has sold to an anthology of epic fantasy, Blood and Devotion ("Eye of the Destroyer").
I've also got 10 or so that I haven't sold yet and am planning to write more

I congratulated you already, but until I read this I didn't remember the story--now I do recall when you posted it. Congratulations again! Later I'll have to cruise over to your website for a free read.
