A new writers' group has been created by Sleepless Whispers Forum. All writers are invited to join; the group will follow similar guidelines to the Hatrack writers' groups, though it is slightly more intensive.

quote:
Ever wanted to get definitive input and feedback on your writing, but never known the resources to obtain it? Ever found, even on the stories and poetry boards, that you just don't get any feedback on your work?

Here's the answer. This workshop is to help improve those writing skills while at the same time providing a full and rich community environment for its users. I won't lie however; it does demand some free time, commitment, and a little effort. But in my opinion and experience, it's well worth it.

For more information, read the forum updates and announcements at www.sleepless.issexy.com
or check out the writers' group at http://www.aimoo.com/forum/freeboard.cfm?id=325457

(however, please to not register unless you are certain you will be joining the writers' group. If you wish to post, you may reply as a guest user.)

Why Not?

For those of you who don't know (or are too young to remember), Hatrack underwent a massive change this summer. You see, the problem was that many of the members were simply using the Open Forum as a place for discussing anything. Nothing wrong with that. However, over the course of about six months, there were several events (the Newbie Wars, the Spam Invasions and most noticably, the Nonsense Threads). Discussions all over began to move away from the original, intended topic of Writing and the Creative Process. This is not what OSC wanted when he first set out to make a friendly environment for young writers. Finally, the decision was made to eliminate the Open Discussions forum and dedicate the entire site to writing.

thank you

salaam

JB
