I have a completed story (although it’s in the revision process at this point) that before revisions comes to about 30,000 words (maybe 45,000 after it’s revised) My questions is what market would be for a story of such a length? It isn’t a fantasy story by any stretch of the imagination, but I heard the average word count for a fantasy novel is a somewhere around 75,000 words. My problem is it’s too long to be a short story and to short to novel. I’m not even sure if it’s long enough to be a novella, but is there even a real market for novellas ?
Personally, I don't mind reading novellas, but the only way I've seen them sold (and the only way I'd buy one) is in a package deal with a collection of short stories.

Novellas can rarely stand alone in publishing. It seems to be normal to throw in either some short stories or some essays (I've seen both with Vinge's _True_Names_).
Of course, this only applies if you plan to use traditional publishing. If you're online or independant, you can do whatever you want.
