I did a little research, actually I did a show all topics on the forum, and the posts go back to Aug, 1999. Can you guess who's been here since then? No peeking.

Shawn just posted an anniversary, and if I remember I think it was shorter. So I'd say Survivor too.

Survivor (Aug. 1999) has been here a bit longer than me.

Shawn (April of 2000)

I've been around a very long time (November 2000), but yeah, Survivor takes the cake.

*mourns loss of cake*

In looking at the data for posters on several recent threads, I've found only three who average more than one post per day here on Hatrack and who have been members for at least a month. (Of course, I may have missed someone, because this was not a comprehensive survey.)

Only one of those three has been around longer than one year: Survivor, who has averaged 1.4 posts per day for over four years, which is an impressive display of commitment to this forum.

The most frequent poster I found was Christine, who has averaged 2.1 posts per day in about eleven months of membership.

Yeah! Tasty cake for me!

Actually, not even I could say with any certainty who has been a member the longest. Certainly, I haven't seen any of the crowd from when I first started post much recently.

I suspect that there was another version of this forum (meaning before Hatrack started using UBB) that was discontinued around 98. I know that that was true of several of the other forums on this site. But if you go back all the way to thread #4 (the websavvy among you will easily figure out how to do this) you can catch a glimpse of the land before time...or at least before the current time
