Does anyone know what the proper title would of been for the daughter of a Doge during the time of the Republic of Venice? I know the term Doge is compared to Duke, but since he would of been elected I am unsure if titles would have extended to his family.

I'm not aware that Venice was particularly big on titles, in the way that feudal states were. Although after a particular date the office was restricted to certain "noble families", none of my reading on Venice has indicated that there were any particular honorifics adopted by any of those families, and Venice did, after all, like to pretend it was a meritocracy (which in some regards it was). But I'm afraid I can't say for certain - it's the old problem of "proving a negative", just because you haven't seen something yet doesn't mean it doesn't exist...

Thanks Tchernabyelo your echoing what I thought. I may simply avoid mentioning anything except her given name.

Sounds like a good solution. You might also want to practice using "would have" rather than "would of", as the latter is wrong and will get your stories killed by the editors.

Mike, I appreciate the rap on the knuckles. I’ve broken myself of a number of bad habits and I’ll work on that one next.

If you're writing this in English, there are plenty of non-specific honorifics that can display respect without implying any specific legal relationship.
