Does anyone know about any? I know the market for Christian fiction has really expanded in the past ten years or so, but I haven't really been able to find any markets for short fiction in this genre. Anyone know of any, and if so, what are the pay rates? Thanks.

Dreams and Visions. It's a print magazine, and I believe they pay 1 cent a word. Dragons, Knights, and Angels is another. It's a web-based mag, and they pay 5 bucks. You can find both at Ralans. http://www.ralan.com/Posts: 270 | Registered: Jan 2005

I was going to ask a question similar to this. Instead, I'll add to Crotalus' question: Does anyone know of some markets for Christian fantasy or fantasy/horror (short fiction)?

Shendülféa: The two I mentioned are speculative fiction markets. I guess I should have said that in my last post. There is another one called Gateway SF, but they only do science fiction, and I don't think they pay.

Isaiah: I noticed that you'd posted some spec fiction markets, which is very helpful, but I'm wondering how much violence they allow in the stories they publish. The one I'm working on now is fantasy/horror. It gets a bit violent at parts (along the lines of Frank Peretti's novels. i.e. The Oath). I'd like to know if they would accept something like that.

Pockets, which Void linked above, will also buy stories and articles. They pay .14 per word. Pretty good money!
