Granted, what I'm about to post is technically irrelevant to literature, but I don't care. I'm exercising my immaturity :P.

I got my wisdom teeth taken out yesterday (the 13th) and it hurts. I don't like the pain much either, but the drugs are helping with that immensely . The only real downside to all of this is a thrown off internal clock.

So...to tie all this into literature just 'cause I can, when writing about post surgical/being "put under" you may want to make note of the fact that it can throw off your internal clock...a lot. Which is why I'm awake and mostly lucid at 2:00 in the bloody morning. Bugger.

Just my thoughts.

If you take a lot of painkillers that knock you out, I recommend taking a couple of Viagra's as well - just to stop you from rolling out of bed.

Tracy

BTW This wont work for women.

Um...I've got plenty of vicadin and ibuprofen to last me a week or three. I hesitate to take any viagra at as young an age as I am...Plus the worry of falling out of bed is the least of my concerns - I slept in a recliner last night...with a nice comfy pillow . It was nice.

ibuprofin(sp?) don't do anything, I think of them as magical placebo pills

Um... if you live in the US, did the recent switch to daylight savings time have any effect on your internal time clock? I still feel "off."
