I got an invite for Quechup (an online friend network) this morning and made the mistake of signing up. As a result, my whole contact list has been spammed with invitations to join.
If you've received one of these emails, please disregard it and do not sign up for Quechup. I'm sorry about the inconvenience this may have caused you. I wish I had forseen this. I feel like an idiot.
If you haven't received an involuntary invitation from me, you probably have or will receive the same invitation from someone else, since there seems to be a minor epidemic of this.
Spread the word. And sorry again to the people who got spammed for being on my contact list.

I got one this morning and was kind of confused...thanks for the heads up and no problem. Worse things have happened.

You know it's funny, that message specifically says it's not spam. Thanks for the heads up, I dislike that sort of site anyways.

I've gotta say I don't maintain a contact list or address book on my computer...if I need to keep an e-mail I write it down somewhere and work from there. (What my computer does automatically is something of a mystery. Every time I go online these past few months, my AOL thingy says I have twenty-two online buddies---but I don't seem to be able to track them down.)
Besides, I can always delete if it looks like spam. My spam file has been filling up lately with some oddball stuff, with a one-made-up-word topic. Delete, delete, delete.
