I'd like to recommend a great comic book I just discovered, Shades of Gray, about a young writer growing up in a small town. It's called Shades of Gray, by Jimmy Gownley, who now has moved on to write and draw another great book Amelia Rules. Everything in it about what it means to grow up dreaming of becoming a writer rings true.
