I thought some of you might find some interest in these two articles. Even if they don't spark an idea for a story, they may at least influence the way you write about human nature. This Popular Science articletalks about a study regarding emotional attachment to robots, Specifically the Roomba, a small robot that automatically vacuums your floor. and this article Is the MSNBC article which inspired the story.

Hmmm interesting, my 13 line for the wake-up cliche writing challenge is sorta based on this...well it's a significantly more advanced intelligence, hehe
Roombha emo attachment not that odd - i know people have emotional attachment to their garden plants, guitars, cars (Christine, anyone?)...

I read a similar article recently in Popular Mechanics about trusting robots. It did spark a couple of ideas, not about love though, actually I think people are getting a little bored with my stories and all the AI love going on lol.

I'm reminded of Lester Del Rey's classic "Helen O'Loy"...that, and a comic-strip cartoon in Playboy circa 1980 about a guy who got, er, overly attached to his vacuum cleaner.
By the way, the link to MSNBC's story kicked me to their front page.
