I just typed THE END at the bottom of first draft of THE BARD'S GIFT.

TBG is my ninth completed novel. Admittedly, the first three aren't going anywhere. Number four was e-published. Number five needs another revision. Number six is currently being queried. Number 7 needs to be rethought. And both number eight and nine are only first drafts, so far.
One of these is going to pay off eventually.

Good for you, Meredith. It's a wonderful feeling, until you realize that the draft is just the start!
Everything I've read talks about practice, practice, practice and completed drafts of novels are the best practice I know of.

And I add mine to everyone else's congratulations. Now I just have to finish one... whithout suffering enormous amounts of angst over whether it should be leant or leaned.

I'm sure you're time to be published and on a shelf in a bookstore isn't all that far away... not with all the nibbles you've gotten. It's gonna come. I just feel it.
Congratulations on your ninth. Keep up the good work .

Belated congratulations. I somehow doubt I will ever finish my first one. I consider myself doing well if I finish a short story. My hat's off to you.
